  • 1. .How and under whose authority the procedure of admission does takes place? Ans:The Competent Authority duly appointed by the Government of Maharashtra and headed by the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, shall be the authority for Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

    2.What is the eligibility criterion for a candidate seeking admission to First Year Diploma Courses in Engineering /Technology? Ans:For admission to first year of Diploma Courses , the candidates must have passed Maharashtra State Board of Secondary School Certificate Examination or any other equivalent Examination With minimum 35% marks (in best five subjects which includes English, Science, and Mathematics subject) in aggregate.

    3.What is the eligibility criterion for a candidate seeking admission to Direct Second Year (third Semester) Diploma Courses in Engineering/Technology? Ans:For admission to direct second year diploma course the candidates must have passed H.S.C/12th standard OR students have passed ITI/MCVC/NCTVT with technical subjects

    4.What is the fee structure for admission? Ans: Fee structure is decided by Shikshan Shulka Samiti, Govt. of Maharashtra.

    5.What is the admission procedure for First year/Second year Polytechnic? Ans: FY Admission : a) Centralized admission process (CAP), -- as per DTE. b) Institute Level admission : As per merit list of S.S.C. Percentage of applied candidates. c) For Centralized admission process : please visit http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/

    6. Is it necessary to purchase the Application Kit? Ans:Yes. The Application kit contains the Application ID and Password to register the name of the candidate and fill the form Online. The information brochure will be given along with the Application Kit. The candidate is supposed to read the brochure carefully and fill the Application form.

          Mahavir Polytechnic offers all its students 100% Placement Assistance to all the eligible current as well as passed out students. We have a full fledged Training & Placement Cell having a Full Time Training & Placement Officer and 6 Departmental Placement Coordinators who regularly strive so as to enhance the employability skills of students and simultaneously establish a fine rapport with industries. We follow a well defined Academic Calendar, taking into consideration various Training & Placement Activities to be undertaken all across the year.

    We believe that our responsibility does not limit only up to ‘Class Room’. Teaching – Learning process and prepare students for the Board Examination, Hence, we cross the traditional ways of educational system and opens the new horizons of modern industries to students by offering and availing special training so that they can face competitive world, when they pass-out from the Institute and hunt for job opportunities. To activate ‘Training & Placement Cell’ activity effectively a special department is enforce under the able guidance of Mr. Mohd. Ummarruddin (Training Placement Officer). This department arranges, In-plant Training, Summer Vacation Training Programme, guides the final year students about the opportunities available, preparing them for how to face interviews and structuring individual Bio-data. Well-reputed organizations from technical fields have willingly conducted campus interview at our location.We are proud to announce that 30 percent students are got placed in companies and remaining choose higher education.

         Objective of Training Placement Cell


  • To assist students to develop/clarify their academic and career interests, and their short and long-term goals through individual counseling and group sessions Maintaining and regularly updating database of students.
  • Maintaining database of companies and establishing strategic links for campus recruitments.
  • Gathering information about job fairs and all relevant recruitment advertisements.
  • Coordinating with companies to learn about their requirements and recruitment procedures.
  • Identifying the needs and expectations of the companies to assist them in recruiting most suitable candidates.
  • Organizing pre-placement training/workshops/seminarsfor students.
  • Arranging periodic meetings with Human Resources Departmentof companies and TPO's to promote our institute.
  • Collecting feedback from employers where our students are selected.
  • To assist students for industrial training at the end of fourth and sixth semester.
  • To assist employers to achieve their hiring goals.
  • To provide resources and activities to facilitate the career planning process.
  • To act as a link between students, alumni and the employment community.
  • To assist students in obtaining placement in reputed companies.
